Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch has been part of the National Youth Project Using Minibikes (NYPUM) Program since 1998. NYPUM is an innovative way to engage at-risk youth by connecting them to something positive, and increasing their opportunities to be successful.
Residents between the ages of 10–17 living on the Minot Campus can participate in this program. After completing several hours of training on operating minibikes, residents are able to ride their bikes on the on-campus trails. Learning to ride minibikes gives children the opportunity to interact with their peers and leaders in a positive way, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem. The successful operation of the NYPUM Program is possible thanks to the support of the American Honda Motor Company and their respective dealers.
Our NYPUM Program is supported by Pure Honda, Minot and Open Road, Bismarck.
