On to the Next Chapter

Last year, shortly before one of our young women completed her treatment and moved on, she told me a little about her life—a life full of abuse and multiple placements, both foster homes and treatment facilities.

She said her time at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch was different because here she learned about Christ and began to have hope. She said she liked math and thought someday she could be a teacher, or perhaps some other work that allowed her to help kids.

I have prayed for her often since she left our care.

Just last week, we heard from her again when we received her high school graduation announcement...what great news! She stuck to her plan to finish high school so she can move on to the next chapter of her life.

This young woman is strong, smart, and capable of great things. I am proud of her and will continue to pray that God guides her every step.

This is just one example of how your prayers and support change lives here at the Ranch. Each child who comes to us is given individualized care and treatment. All the while we surround them with care and help them realize their own potential. We teach them about God, and how Christ's strength can help them through life's challenges.

Thank you for all you do for our children at the Ranch. This critical ministry could not exist without people like you.

God bless,

Janet Zinke
