Annual Meetings of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Held in Minot

 

The three corporations of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch (Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation, and Dakota Family Services) held their annual meetings last week in Minot, where they installed new board members, elected officers, and conducted other business of the corporations.

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christian residential treatment and educational center for children and their families, helps the most troubled, complicated, and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care.

The Ranch welcomed Wendy Cooper (Bismarck) as the newest member of its board of directors. Until her retirement in 2016, Cooper worked as a Vocational Resource Educator for Hazen Public Schools in Hazen, N.D. This is where she first learned about the Ranch, and where she developed a passion for helping at-risk children.

The Ranch board also elected new officers.

Treasurer: Wayne Ulven, Walcott

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation
Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation advances the mission of the Ranch through thrift store operations, communications, and fundraising.

The Foundation welcomed Jerry Hauff (Bismarck) as the newest member of its board of directors. Hauff is the Senior Vice President/Market President at Cornerstone Bank in Bismarck, N.D. 

The Foundation board elected the following slate of new officers.

Vice Chair: Brent Mattson, Minot
Secretary: Bob Rosenvold, Fargo
Treasurer: Harley Haug, Fargo

Dakota Family Services
Dakota Family Services is a group of compassionate, practiced experts providing outpatient care—in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting—for children and adolescents with complex behavioral health issues. Mental health and psychiatric professionals are accepting new patients in both Fargo and Minot.

The Dakota Family Services board elected the following slate of new officers.

Chair: Dr. Brent Askvig, Fargo
Vice-Chair: Dr. George O'Neill, Fargo
Secretary/Treasurer: Dr. Don Burke, Minot
