Volunteering at our Thrift Stores
Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Thrift Stores are one of the primary funding supports for all Ranch programs.
When you donate items to or shop at any of our thrift stores, you’re helping to provide funding for programs that help at-risk children right in your community!
The thrift stores are always seeking volunteers. If you have a specific talent or skills, we would love to have you volunteer!
There is no minimum hour requirement for volunteers; they can work as many hours a week that they would like. However, after a required amount of hours our volunteers are eligible for thrift store discounts, a Volunteer Luncheon, and Christmas Party.
Our volunteers say that the best things about volunteering are the fact that they are helping the kids. Plus, our volunteers have formed very lasting friendships and enjoy the camaraderie with other volunteers and staff.
Please call 701-277-9424 if you would like to volunteer to work in one of our thrift stores. Also, check our contact list for thrift store locations and phone numbers.
Volunteering for Special Events
Opportunities exist for volunteers pre-, during and post- special events, including the ever-popular Pigs 'n a Blanket events, held each year in Bismarck and Fargo; and our BLT Day, held annually in Minot.
